Chris Lovell is a Chartered Surveyor and a Registered Valuer. A qualified member of the General Practice division of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) since 1986, he gained experience in London in several areas including Auctions, Property Management, Investment and Valuation.
Chris returned to the Island in 1989 to join the family firm which was started by his great grandfather in 1879. He has over 20 years experience in the property market in Guernsey and, as a Company Director, he advises many private individuals, Companies and Corporates in Valuation, Investment and Agency roles. He is the Chairman of the Local Branch of the RICS.
Maureen is our Senior Secretary and started her secretarial career in the finance industry, moving after a number of years to the Environment Department, then known as the IDC for a short spell, before moving to Lovells where she has been for the last 25 years.
Although she works predominantly in the Commercial Management Department, she also helps the Residential Sales and Lettings Departments when necessary.
Maureen thrives on a challenge and certainly gets that in management where each day presents different challenges.
Gill Queripel is our Accounts Administrator and has been with Lovells for over 25 years, providing essential accounting support.
Gill also has a great involvement in service charge administration and rent collection for our managed client portfolio.
In her spare time, Gill runs the Nerine Netball Club and is considered to be one of the most successful coaches in the Island.
Rob is a highly experienced Chartered Builder and Civil & Structural Engineer.
He has worked in California, where projects included the Orange County performing arts centre, the 21 storey Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach and numerous high rise offices. Rob has worked locally for RG Falla (Project Manager), JW Rihoy (Operations Director) and Guernsey Glass (Managing Director).
He has extensive experience in construction and can advise on all aspects of building and maintenance issues, from foundations to fittings.
Michael has worked in the social housing field for over 20 years, working primarily for large metropolitan UK authorities.
His experience ranges from managing residential units and includes extensive knowledge of estate management. He is also experienced in lettings, rent arrears, repairs, nuisance behaviour and multi-agency work.
Most recently Michael worked in a specialist team tackling serious cases of tenancy breaches and ensuring appropriate legal remedies were sought in the Civil and Criminal courts.
Jemma is one of our Property Managers. She was educated at The Ladies’ College before undertaking a Bsc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying. Jemma’s degree course included a one year work placement in Boston, USA, where she was employed as assistant Construction Project Manager.
Further to her degree, Jemma worked in both Australia and New Zealand for a total of two and a half years.
In 2007, Jemma returned to Guernsey where she worked at a local property development company undertaking the role of Residential Property Manager for numerous residential property developments.
Stuart started his career in customer service and then worked in the finance sector after a period of travel.
Missing the client contact, he moved to a position on the local market sales team at another estate agency gaining vital knowledge and skills.
As Associate Director Stuart now heads up our local market team. A qualified member of the National Association of Estate Agents (MNAEA) he has been an estate agent for over ten years gaining experience in all areas including sales and lettings and prides himself on customer service and professionalism.
Helen joined Lovells in 2011 as a trainee local market negotiator. She wanted to be an estate agent from an early age and based her examination choices on the subjects she thought might be most useful to her when applying for a property negotiator and makes use of her extensive knowledge of photography.
In her spare time, Helen plays island volleyball and competes in both the ladies and mixed leagues. She also runs her own Zumba Classes twice a week and at the weekend enjoys surfing.
Having totally renovated her first home, Lorraine also assists her husband with his property development business and has gained first-hand experience of understanding plot values and building costs, along with appreciating the stress involved in the buying and selling process! This practical experience makes her well placed to work within the sales department.
She enjoys making the important decisions for any new home such as designing the kitchen, bathrooms and interior decoration.
Kerry gained a Degree in Philosophy and after a period of extensive travel embarked on a sales career in publishing before joining the residential sales team at Lovells in 2005.
Kerry re-joined the team in 2012 after taking time out to start her family. Kerry has been interested in the Guernsey property market since a young age as her father is a highly regarded local architect and her mother also enjoyed a long and successful career in property sales. Kerry has gained practical knowledge in converting a 1970’s chalet bungalow into a contemporary home on the west coast.
Michelle joined Lovells in 2008 and is one of our secretary/receptionists.
Michelle can provide potential purchasers with details of properties for sale with Lovells and directions and has valuable local knowledge..
Prior to joining Lovells, Michelle worked in the banking and insurance industries.
Chelsea joined Lovells in 2000 as a receptionist in the Sales team, then moved from the Residential Sales division to become a Secretary/Receptionist of the Commercial team and today she is our Lettings Manager. She also looks after a portion of the Property Management Portfolio.
Knowing how stressful it can be for people trying to find a property as well as landlords trying to find suitable tenants, Chelsea can certainly put all at ease ensuring that the lettings process goes as smoothly as possible.
Chantal joined Lovells in 1998 and has worked in both the Lettings and Sales Departments and has therefore gained a broad knowledge of all property matters.
Chantal now works back in the Management Department as a Residential Property Manager and also assists the Lettings Manager as and when required.
Prior to joining Lovells Chantal worked in the finance industry for a number of years although property has always been in her blood as she comes from a family of building contractors and has also renovated a couple of her own properties in the past.
Sally has worked in estate agency for almost seven years and joined Lovells in April 2009 as Secretarial and Administration Support for the Residential Management and Lettings team.
Having previously worked in the finance industry for many years as Personnel and Office Manager, Sally has experience of looking after both property and people. Her grandfather was a builder and thinks she gets her passion for properties from him.
Sally enjoys meeting people and assisting them in their search for a home.
