Forest Parish Profile
The parish of the Forest is located in the south of Guernsey having a population of about 1,700 people and an area of some 1.6 square miles (4.1 sq km.) it is the second smallest parish (Torteval being the smallest).
It is mainly made up of high granite cliffs, from which there are some lovely walks, including Le Gouffre and around the Corbiere. The beach at Petit Bot is both pretty and sheltered, the beach at Portlet only being accessible by boat, or a swim from Petit Bot.
The Forest is home to the German Occupation Museum and Guernsey Airport. It also boasts Le Rondin School which serves the whole of Guernsey and offers children who may have learning difficulties brilliant facilities – lerondin.sch.gg
